There was a contamination incident at the Marshalltown Aquatic Center Tuesday and the main pool had to be closed according to Jennifer Hart of the Marshalltown Parks and Recreation Department. She says the Lazy River was not impacted and remain open for its normal water walking hours twice a day. The pool will be closed all day Wednesday and an update will be given on the status of the pool on Thursday. Hart says it takes time for the pool chemicals to balance themselves.
