The Marshalltown City Council met on Monday afternoon and talked about a number of issues. Council passed a resolution adopting a tobbacco free policy for all parks, trails and library grounds, and Council got an update on the status of the Iowa River Trails Project. The result of the special election was also talked about. It could take some six months for the design to be completed on the joint police and fire station building to be located in the area of West Anson Street and South Second Street in Marshalltown.
