The State Baseball Tournament continued Monday with Class 2-A quarterfinal action at Principal Park in Des Moines. Clear Lake beat Denver 10-5, Hinton defeated Van Buren by the score of 9-1, Pleasantville knocked off Beckman Catholic 3-1 and in an 8-inning game, Kuemper Catholic of Carroll got past Collins Maxwell Baxter 3-2.

Today will feature Class 3-A quarter final games: 11 am, Harlan versus Bishop Heelan of Sioux City, at 1:30 pm, Dubuque Wahlert will play Solon, at 5:00 pm, Carlisle will play Central DeWitt, and at 7:30, the little Dutch of Pella will play Humboldt.
