Marshalltown had storms move through early Sunday morning that dumped .55 worth of rain on the City. Another quarter inch had been recieved Monday morning. We also had a peak wind gust Sunday morning of 50 miles per hour. There was tree damage reported and some power outages as well. Around the state a storm caused a house to collapse at Walford, trapping and injuring a man and causing damage to a dozen other homes, An 88 mile per hour wind gust was clocked at Steamboat Rock, trees blocked a road in the Grundy Center area. Downed trees and power outages were reported at Eagle Grove. Wind damage was reported at Ackley. At Vinton damage an apartment building was damaged as the roof was damaged, a storm shelter was opened there. The most rain reported was in northern Winnebago County where 4.5 inches of rain fell.  A storm impacting Andrew Iowa was rated F-1 on the Fujita scale. Thousands of power outages statewide were reported.
