(Mason City, IA) – Some frightening moments for passengers aboard an American Eagle Jet, when the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after noticing smoke in the cockpit. The jet carrying 45 passengers and three crew members landed safely at the Mason City Airport. Another plane was standing by to pickup those passengers and continue onto Chicago. The incident remains under investigation.
