The yearly Gladbrook Corn Carnival begins Thursday in Gladbrook featuring three days of activities. Organizer Terry Luehring says there is lots to do. Featured will be a grand parade Friday and fireworks to cap off the day on Saturday. Midway rides will be featured in the downtown area as well. She says the main feature is sweet corn and the shucking of the hundreds of ears of corn needed to feed the hungry has begun. Luehring says the first of the events will be a Collectors Fair Thursday morning at 10-am at the Memorial Building in Gladbrook.
