The Marshalltown City Council will meet on Monday afternoon at City Hall in Marshalltown with a meeting time of 5:30 p.m. One of the agenda items will be to set a date for election on financing the joint police and fire facility. The proposed election date is August 2, 2016. The proposed location would be in the vicinity of South Second Street and West Anson Streets in Marshalltown. Marshalltown Mayor Jim Lowrance will be KFJB’s guest Monday morning on “Open Forum” at 8:34 a.m. Calls and questions will be taken at 641-752-5352. The public is also welcome to attend the City Council meeting at Marshalltown City Hall.
