(Des Moines, IA) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the sudden death of an inmate. 50-year-old Linda Spencer of Des Moines was taken into custody yesterday..sentenced to 30 days in jail on drug charges. Officials discovered Spencer unresponsive in her jail cell last night. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died. An autopsy is pending.
