The Marshalltown City Council meets this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. One of the main items on the agenda is the liquor license request by an establishment in downtown Marshalltown called Wild Coyote at the corner of 2nd Street and Main. At the last council meeting a liquor license request was tabled for further study. At the meeting Police Chief, Michael Tupper brought up the subject of an incident at another establishment, Palm Beach, that proprietor Oscar Sanchez runs in which a patron was assaulted and security staff at the business did not call 911. Chief Tupper is expected to issue another report on the matter. Council is expected to vote yes or no.
