The Marshalltown boys high school soccer team defeated #6-rated Ankeny Tuesday night by the score of 2-1 at Leonard Cole Field. George Gomez scored off a corner kick in the 64th minute of the match to give the Bobcats the game winning goal. Earlier in the match Luis Adrian Ramirez had scored from the assist from Julio Gonzalez. Jonathan Cantu was in net for MHS and recorded five saves. The Bobcats improved to 7-9 on the year. Also on Tuesday night Ankeny defeated the Marshalltown girls in soccer by the score of 2-0 at Ankeny. The MHS girls record is now 4-11 on the season.
