According to monthly data from Iowa Workforce Development the unemployment rate in March for Marshall County and Marshalltown was among the highest in the state of Iowa. Marshalltown`s unemployment rate was virtually unchanged from February to March at 7.8% while the rate in Marshall County went from 6.9% in February to 6.8% in March.
