Voters in south-central Iowa will decide next week whether to approve a local city sales tax increase of 1 percent. The vote on Carlisle’s proposed sales tax increase will be held Tuesday. The sales tax in Warren County is 6 percent — or 6 cents for every dollar spent. The referendum calls for an increase to bring the total sales tax to 7 cents per dollar.
